ACTIVITIES 

EDUCATION

   1. Providing relief requirements like, food, clothing, medical care, rehabilitation services, shelter, drinking water and sanitation facilities. 

   2. Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to all households within our reach as a pillar of household growth social spiritual and economic development. 

   3. Conducting weekly household visits to have spiritual encouragement, identify any

constraints that may affect the ministries’ intervention.

   4. Increasing access to safe drinking water through; provision of household water tanks,

community bore holes and working together with communities to promote hygiene and sanitation through construction of latrines, kitchens and drying racks for utensils for the needy households. 

   5. Conducting various community based competitions to help identify and support talent growth for those picked out.

   6. Support and promote community based environment protection innovations geared towards reducing the risks of climatic change.

   7. Working with community based structures to end gender based violence and the violation of children’s rights.

   8. Advocating for protection of human rights at all levels to embrace God’s love for humanity.

    9. Continue having surveys to identify more homes and children in need of support .

     10. Conducting community engagement forums to support the community address child protection issues.

ACHIEVEMENTS

      @. Working together with brothers and sister in Christ from the diaspora, we are blessed to have achieved commendable work and we praise God very much.

     @. Taken care of many orphans and abandoned children. These are now thriving well academically through our support and spiritual guidance. 

     @. Promoting the idea of foster parenthood in our communities to reduce the number of street children rustling from loss of parents most especially due to HIV/AIDS.  

     @. Advocating for children rights to minimize the violation of rights of children. This is grounded from one of our values of respect for human dignity. Under this we have  facilitated so many cases of rape, defilement, physical abuse and other sorts of violation. We are now focusing on advocating for the rights of dis abled children and those with chronic illnesses in institutions but also a girl child.

     @. In terms of nutrition and food security, we have helped homes have back yard gardens with various vegetables.

     @. We have also supported various communities realize the need for proper nurturing and upbringing of children using Christian values adopted from the bible and an  adopted curriculum based intervention called “SINOVUYO” which means joy in a home from a south African writer. 

     @. Through economic and skills empowerment; we have been blessed to have facilitated vocational skills trainings for 32 vulnerable girls in our community. Under this we have 8 doing motorcycle mechanics, 8 doing welding and metal fabrication works, 9 doing hair dressing and cosmetology and 7 doing tailoring and fashion designing. This is through locally available artisans. In addition we supported financial literacy training for communities and started various savings and loans association to minimize poverty and hence vulnerability levels.

     @. Supported various orphaned and vulnerable children access education through provision school fees and other requirements.

     @. We cannot forget to note the fact that at every moment we reach a hand to someone, we intensify the calling of God and the need for spiritual growth by all individuals.
